As a security guard at Avarn Security, you have a socially important mission to protect and monitor protected objects according to the Protection Act.

The task of a security guard is to monitor protected objects and protect against sabotage, espionage, terrorist crimes, and serious robbery. A security guard has special powers to inspect vehicles, conduct body searches, seize items, refuse entry, and detain individuals present at a protected object. Protected objects are activities that are important for society to function in peace, crisis, or war. Examples of protected objects include a nuclear power plant, an airport, or a military facility.

Working hours: Varying, both day and night

Duration: Full-time

Qualifications: We are looking for you who are a dog handler or have previous experience as a dog handler in the security industry. A complete team consists of a handler and at least one dog. The dog(s) must be environmentally strong. The dogs will be tested by Avarn Security during the recruitment process. You will receive all the training required for the position from Avarn Security.

We are looking for someone with personal maturity who feels secure in the role of security guard. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit. You should possess a high level of security awareness and social competence. We place great importance on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify problems and solve them. To work on certain objects, a security screening, in-depth control, and a security interview will be conducted.

If you have the right profile, we will cover your training.

Requirements for applicants:

• ✔ At least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• ✔ High school diploma
• ✔ Good Swedish in speech and writing
• ✔ Driver's license B
• ✔ Swedish citizenship

Meritorious:

• ✔ Dog handler training and suitable dog
• ✔ Security guard training (VU1 + VU2)
• ✔ Civil protection guard training (or military protection guard training completed from 2016 or later)

If you have completed protection guard training during military basic training, it is valid for civilian use as well. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have a protection guard training from the Armed Forces without military basic training, you need to complete a shortened protection guard training to be able to work as a civilian protection guard.

The position is classified in a security class, which is why a security screening will be conducted, and Swedish citizenship is a requirement.

In addition, you need to be unpunished**, drug-free, have organized finances, and good health and fitness to be employed at Avarn Security. To work as a security guard, a protection guard approval from the County Administrative Board is also required (we will handle the application).
